GMKtec K17
GMKtec K17 combines Intel Core Ultra 5 226V with integrated Intel Arc 130V for office multitasking, development and media work. Gaming and GPU-accelerated applications depend on their settings and driver support; the graphics specification alone is not a measured performance result. Memory is fixed at purchase, so choose RAM capacity for the full intended lifespan.

What owners say
Five reviewers had this Core Ultra 5 226V box, and one lab calls it one of the quietest mini PCs in its class: 25 to 26 dB(A) at idle, barely above its room, and under 29 under load; another could not measure the fan from a metre at idle. Power figures vary more between reviewers than usual — idle anywhere from about 5 to 12 W, load from 25 to 48 W — but the chip held steady without heat throttling at its 25 W factory setting, with 20 and 35 W profiles available. The bundled SSD slows under sustained load. The 16 GB of LPDDR5X sits on the processor package and cannot be upgraded, and GMKtec sells no larger version. Reviewers disagree about which M.2 slot is the PCIe 5.0 one, so check before adding a drive. Opening it is easy until the Wi-Fi antenna leads, attached to the bottom plate, come off; one reviewer found them very hard to reconnect. There is one USB4 port and no OCuLink, and its Wi-Fi was the weakest of its kind in one lab. Ubuntu and Batocera recognised everything at once, but the NPU did not work with Geekbench AI in one test. Games run at 1080p on low to medium settings, Cyberpunk at about 36 FPS on Low. One reviewer notes that the better-equipped K13 costs little more.
- For whom
- Family, office, media and emulation use for anyone who values silence above all.
- Not for
- Anyone who needs more than 16 GB of memory, OCuLink, or an external GPU and fast external storage at the same time.

Notes
- upgrades: The table labels one slot PCIe Gen5 ×4; this needs board-level confirmation for this Lunar Lake platform, so no Gen5 performance claim is published.
