Beelink SER9 Pro (H 255)

Beelink SER9 Pro (H 255) combines AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 and Radeon 780M with onboard LPDDR5X memory. Two replaceable SSDs, USB4 and 2.5GbE suit a compact productivity or creative desktop. RAM cannot be expanded later, and the Pro version has a different memory and network layout from the similarly named SER9 Max.

What owners say

Notebookcheck titled its review “the regular non-Pro version is faster”, and it is right: the plain SER9 can be ordered with a quicker processor in the same chassis, so the Pro suffix tells you nothing useful. What the machine does tell you is what it cannot do. Three publications confirm this chip has no neural engine, and one lists the absence of Copilot+ support among its faults. Beelink nonetheless sells this exact machine on a second product page with an AI agent pre-installed, at 759 dollars against 699 for identical hardware, or 859 with Windows added; we read those prices in its own store. The more serious problem is that it stops. One forum thread has three owners reporting the same total freeze under the same Windows event code, one of them after a clean install, a firmware update and a new cable, and a fourth who bought twelve units says five of them do it, sometimes while sitting idle. Three weeks later the maker's own support told a different owner it had received no such reports. Two more owners describe the network controller vanishing from the firmware, or running at a fifth of its rated speed. In its favour: 0.7 W switched off, and a fan that is always audible but never loud.

For whom
Plenty of sustained processor speed for around five hundred dollars, for someone who will keep the receipt and the twelve-month warranty to hand.
Not for
Windows AI features, work that cannot survive a random freeze, and anyone who needs the wired network to be dependable.

Notes

  • ports: The exact DisplayPort revision and DSC/color-depth conditions for 4K/240Hz are inconsistent or unstated across the official page; the display mode is not a gaming FPS result. The advertised display mode is excluded from the main specifications until those conditions are documented.
  • power: The illustration lists 100–240V AC and 19V/5.26A output (about 100W); the HTML table lists 200–240V AC and 19V/6.32A output (about 120W). The delivered adapter rating is unconfirmed; check its label rather than assuming either input range or wattage.
