GMKtec EVO-T1
GMKtec EVO-T1 is a compact option for development, content work and local AI experiments using Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics. Software support and the memory required by a particular model matter more than theoretical AI ratings. Replaceable SO-DIMM memory gives it a path for later RAM upgrades. OCuLink allows a separate compatible external GPU dock; connect or disconnect it only with the PC powered off.

What owners say
Three things are repeated about this machine everywhere and none of them survives its own sources. It is called quiet: the only laboratory that measured it recorded 51.6 dB(A) under load and 38.8 at idle, both worse than a rival carrying the same processor. It is praised for low interrupt latency: it places third of six in the very table that claim comes from, behind that same rival. It is called frugal: it draws 12 to 15 W at idle where the rival draws 4.5. What it genuinely does better is hold on. Where the other machine starts losing speed on the third pass of a repeated benchmark, this one keeps going and peaks at 84 °C, because its sustained power limit is 70 W against 33. On a Blender render that is a quarter less time. It also has the better expansion: OCuLink at PCIe 4.0 by four lanes rather than graphics over USB4 alone. Two warnings. Its wireless is Wi-Fi 6 with no 6 GHz band, on a machine of this price and year. And the maker's own page still advertises a 32-billion-parameter model running at about 15 tokens per second with 64 GB of memory, a configuration it no longer sells.
- For whom
- Sustained work such as rendering, compiling and long encodes, with an external graphics card over OCuLink.
- Not for
- A quiet desk or a low electricity bill, and anyone who needs a current wireless standard.
