MINISFORUM UM890 Pro
MINISFORUM UM890 Pro uses AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS with Radeon 780M. Dual Ethernet and OCuLink give this small workstation useful options for a lab or external-GPU setup. The integrated Radeon GPU still shares system RAM; check exact configuration and measured performance before buying for demanding games.

- Ports & displays
- Four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, two USB4 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, OCuLink and a 3.5 mm headset jack. Support documentation identifies OCuLink as an M.2-to-OCuLink adapter.
- Ethernet, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- Two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth version is unconfirmed because the store table and support sheet disagree.
- RAM & storage upgrades
- Two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots, up to 96 GB. Two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD slots, the support sheet lists up to 4 TB without clarifying a per-drive or combined limit. The support sheet says OCuLink uses an M.2 adapter, so it consumes one storage position.
- Power supply & power limits
- 120 W external adapter (19 V / 6.32 A) in the support specification. This rating is not measured wall consumption.
- Dimensions & weight
- 130 × 127 × 66.6 mm; approximately 707.5 g.

What owners say
The UM890 Pro is sold on being quiet, and that is where the reviews stop agreeing. One measured 31.4 dB(A) under combined processor and graphics load, with the chip settling at 79-80 °C after an initial 86 °C spike and nothing registering at idle; another put the same model at 36-38 dB(A) idle and 40-42 under load against a 34 dB(A) room floor, calling it merely quieter than average. Take it as a machine that will not annoy you on a desk, not as a silent one. The rest is consistent across sources. The bundled SSD is the weak link and one reviewer warns its slowness shows in anything bound by disk. The second M.2 slot is a choice, not an addition: OCuLink or a second NVMe, and going the external-graphics route also means buying a dock. The USB4 port runs at 20 Gbit/s rather than 40, the two 2.5GbE ports genuinely deliver 2.35 Gbps each, and getting at the memory and the drive to upgrade them is described as awkward. The firmware is thin on options but does expose the power limits, which default to 60 and 65 W.
- For whom
- A quiet, powerful desktop, or a home-lab node that uses both 2.5GbE ports and may take an external GPU over OCuLink later.
- Not for
- Anyone who wants two internal NVMe drives and OCuLink at once, anyone counting on the shipped SSD without replacing it, and anyone expecting 40 Gbit/s from that USB4 port.

Notes
- Bluetooth 5.2/5.3 conflicts between support and store documentation.
- The support sheet does not clearly establish whether its 4 TB SSD limit is per drive or combined.
