Geekom gives this machine three years of warranty and then decides whether they apply to you. A German owner whose unit stopped displaying was told in writing that because he had bought it from MediaMarkt — a national retailer where Geekom itself sells, and which delivered the machine in Geekom's own packaging — it could not return, exchange or repair it: for products bought through unofficial channels, it wrote, it is unable to provide warranty service. MediaMarkt sent him back to Geekom. What eventually moved things was PayPal's buyer protection. Two faults recur in the maker's own forum. Four separate owners report the machine hanging on the logo screen once it has been switched off for more than a few minutes; one of them did everything support asked, including separate firmware and controller updates, and it still happens. And on a Ryzen 9 unit, USB devices do not come back after sleep, leaving an encrypted drive visible but unreadable; that owner writes that Geekom has known about it from the start. What it does well it does very well: the same case with the cheaper processor idles at 24 dB(A), barely above an empty room, and draws 0.89 W switched off.

A small, genuinely quiet desktop for office and creative work — bought from Geekom's own store, not from a marketplace.

Not for

Anyone who switches the machine off between sessions, anyone who relies on USB devices surviving sleep, and anyone who buys electronics wherever it happens to be cheapest.
