MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro (HX 370)

MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro (HX 370) uses AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with Radeon 890M. Dual LAN, several SSD slots and a dedicated OCuLink connector suit an expandable workstation or lab. The integrated NPU is software-dependent; it does not by itself establish local-LLM speed.

What owners say

Two labs and a long-term owner agree on what this machine is and disagree about what it costs you. It is quiet, at 28 dB(A) idle and 41.8 under load, with a firmware profile that brings the loaded figure down to 36. The case never reaches 40 °C, the chip settles at 76, and it draws 8.6 W at idle from an internal 135 W supply, so there is no power brick on your desk. The trade-off is the memory. Unlike the soldered machines it competes with, this one takes two ordinary SO-DIMMs, and the owner measured what that costs: memory reads in the high 60 gigabytes per second, against the high 80s on his previous soldered machine with the same chip family. One reviewer lists the slower memory as a direct drag on graphics, and the owner's practical conclusion is that mixture-of-experts models of 20 to 30 billion parameters are about the ceiling here. Two real defects. The SD card reader runs at USB 2 speed and copies at 24 MB/s against a class average near 125. And interrupt latency measured 12,282 microseconds, three times the maker's own sibling machine, which one reviewer says rules it out as a video streaming client.

For whom
An office and creative desktop where you want to choose your own memory and storage, and to add an external graphics card over OCuLink later.
Not for
Real-time audio or video work, and anyone who needs the memory bandwidth that only soldered LPDDR5X delivers.

Test conditions
1920x1080, Ultra preset, FSR off, taken from the review's 30-minute sustained FPS diagram rather than from its comparison table. Scene: Notebookcheck documents in its published test methodology that it runs the game's built-in benchmark tool, at https://www.notebookcheck.net/How-does-Notebookcheck-test-laptops-and-smartphones-A-behind-the-scenes-look-into-our-review-process.15394.0.html. Average 23.8 FPS across a narrow 21.5 to 24.7 range over the half hour, so this is the sustained figure and not a single benchmark pass
