What owners say
Two reviewers had the G11 with AMD's Ryzen Embedded R2514, one of them in the 16 GB / 512 GB configuration we list, and verified store owners fill in the rest. It is modest and quiet: the fan stays discreet under 3DMark with the graphics at about 60 °C, and draw is 11 to 12 W at idle with a 48 W peak in one test. The BIOS offers a default 20 W mode and a 25 W performance mode that helps benchmarks but brings the fan in more often. Where it disappoints is video: 4K60 YouTube dropped a noticeable number of frames, and Plex struggled with high-bitrate 4K HDR, where the reviewer says Intel mini PCs do better. What it offers is room: two DDR4 slots for up to 32 GB and two NVMe slots, where GMKtec's earlier budget boxes had one mSATA. One owner runs Proxmox with a media stack on 32 GB and two SSDs, and a reviewer ran Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, Node-RED and a light Frigate at once with stable temperatures. Ubuntu recognised everything. The front USB-C outputs 4K60 video but cannot power the machine. One unit came with preinstalled AI apps, including a Chinese-language client, while another was clean, and owners disagree on whether GMKtec's driver downloads work.
