ASUS NUC 14 Pro (165H)
ASUS NUC 14 Pro (165H) pairs Intel Core Ultra 7 165H with Intel Arc Graphics for compact desktop workloads. This profile is a barebone kit: memory, storage and an operating system must be supplied separately. Thunderbolt and dual display outputs support a peripheral-rich workspace. Slim and tall chassis are sold separately; confirm the chassis before planning drive expansion.

- Ports & displays
- 3 × USB-A 10Gbps, 1 × USB-A 2.0, 2 × HDMI 2.1 TMDS and 2 × Thunderbolt 4 Type-C with DisplayPort output. Additional front USB-C 20Gbps. ASUS documents disagree on the DisplayPort version; no version-specific capability is assumed here.
- Ethernet, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- 1 × Intel 2.5GbE RJ45; Intel AX211 Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
- RAM & storage upgrades
- 2 × DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM, up to 96 GB. M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD (ASUS lists up to 4 TB) and M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. The documented 2242 capacity differs for tall kits; confirm the exact kit before choosing a drive. Tall kits also have a 2.5-inch SATA connection. RAM and SSD are not included; Intel Arc graphics requires both memory slots populated.
- Power supply & power limits
- 120 W external adapter; rated output, not measured electricity use.
- Dimensions & weight
- 117 × 112 × 37 mm (W × D × H) for slim kits; 117 × 112 × 54 mm for tall kits. The catalog CPU profile does not identify the chassis variant.

What owners say
It is sold as an empty box, so what matters is what happens when you open it — and on the taller chassis there is a flat ribbon cable in the way that two reviewers describe in almost the same words. One calls getting it back into its socket a shortcut to a refused warranty claim; the other says it feels so fragile that an inexperienced owner will simply snap it off. The lid is advertised as tool-free, and one reviewer praises exactly that while another reports needing a flat screwdriver that is not supplied. Fit a Kensington lock and the base will not come off at all, which is worth knowing before securing a machine you still have to build. Two things to plan for inside. The Arc graphics need both memory slots populated, and the firmware will not load enthusiast memory profiles, so faster modules run at their standard rating; one reviewer measured the lower module running eight to ten degrees hotter than the upper one under load. And the argument for this processor over the dearer one: tested in the same family, the Ultra 7 beat the Ultra 9 on a multi-core render, on a single-core test and on a graphics benchmark.
- For whom
- Building a business desktop yourself, with three years of warranty and the remote-management features a fleet actually uses.
- Not for
- Anyone uneasy about a fragile ribbon cable, anyone who wants memory above its standard speed, and anyone paying extra for the Ultra 9.

Notes
- Measured wall power, acoustic measurements and configuration-matched benchmark results remain unverified.
- The CPU-level catalog ID does not select a slim or tall chassis. Dimensions and chassis-dependent storage are stated as alternatives, not as simultaneously installed features.
- The ASUS US web table specifies DisplayPort 1.4 over Thunderbolt 4, but the NUC 14 Pro datasheet specifies 2.1. The connector is confirmed; version-specific capabilities remain unverified for the selected kit.
- For the M.2 2242 SSD, ASUS lists up to 2 TB for slim kits. The US web table lists 1 TB for tall kits, while the kit datasheet lists 2 TB. No single tall-kit maximum is asserted here.
