GEEKOM Mini Air12 (7505)

What owners say

Seven reviewers had the 2026 Air12 with the Pentium Gold 7505, all the 8 GB / 256 GB version, and they agree it is quiet while questioning its value. The fan is practically inaudible — 30 to 31 dBA in one lab, around 37 at full load in another — and the machine draws about 10 W at idle, 18 W in everyday multitasking and 29 to 30 W at full load. The dual-core Pentium, a 2020 design, holds its 3.5 GHz turbo only briefly and drops to 2.2 GHz under combined processor and graphics load; switching the BIOS fan profile to Performance raises its sustained limit from 15 to 20 W without more noise. The 8 GB is a single stick in one of two DDR4 slots, and one reviewer saw stutter as soon as more than one app was open, so add a second module or buy the 16 GB version. The 256 GB drive is SATA, at about 560 MB/s, although the single M.2 slot also takes NVMe. The Wi-Fi is soldered. Reviewers disagree on whether the front USB-C carries video, so use the rear one for a third display. The drive-activity LED is bright. On value they split: a silver medal from one magazine, poor value at just under $300 for a 2020 dual-core from another.

For whom

A quiet, low-power thin client or basic office PC at a bargain price, preferably with 16 GB.

Not for

Multitasking on 8 GB, gaming, and anyone paying close to $300, which buys a much faster machine.
