GEEKOM A7 (7545U)

What owners say

Three reviewers had the 2026 A7 with the Ryzen 5 7545U, two of them in the 16 GB / 500 GB configuration we list, and all note that this is a different machine from the Ryzen 9 A7 that made the name. The 16 GB ships as a single module, so memory runs single-channel, which one reviewer says hurts graphics and 8K playback; games are a stretch, with Baldur's Gate 3 at 20 to 30 FPS only at 720p Low with FSR. GEEKOM sets the chip to 35/40 W, above AMD's 28 W default, and it held without throttling — peaks around 88 to 90 °C in one lab, settling at 3.4 GHz and 73 °C in another. Noise is modest: one lab ranks it among the quieter actively cooled mini PCs it has tested, another calls it very quiet. It draws about 8 W at idle and 37 to 48 W under load. One reviewer's Wi-Fi driver kept dropping under Windows until he rolled it back and reseated the card; Ubuntu 26.04 was fine. Opening it means glued rubber feet and antenna wires that come loose too easily, and there is a single M.2 slot. The USB4 port ran an external GPU. One reviewer thinks the older Ryzen 9 A7, only €70 more in Europe, is the better buy.

For whom

A quiet, low-power office or home PC, and a good Linux box, for someone who will add a second memory module.

Not for

Gaming or graphics work on the built-in GPU, and anyone who can stretch to the Ryzen 9 A7.
