ASUS ExpertCenter PN53 (6800H)

ASUS ExpertCenter PN53 (6800H) pairs AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon 680M for compact desktop workloads. This profile is a barebone kit: memory, storage and an operating system must be supplied separately. USB4 and two SSD slots make it worth considering for a multi-display workstation or a compact home lab.

Ports & displays
Barebone specification: 2 × USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort output; rear Type-C also supports power input. 5 × USB-A 5Gbps, 2 × HDMI 2.1 (4K/60Hz), audio jack and an optional configurable video/serial port; confirm the installed rear module by kit SKU.
Ethernet, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
1 × 2.5GbE RJ45. The current ASUS US kit table lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4; confirm the installed wireless module by exact kit SKU, as this CPU-level profile does not identify it. Bluetooth support also depends on the operating system and drivers.

2 × DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM, up to 32 GB (2 × 16 GB) under the ASUS kit specification for this processor generation. 2 × M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots, up to 2 TB each; 2.5-inch SATA bay for a 7 mm drive. RAM and storage are not included.
Power supply & power limits
ASUS lists 120 W (19 V, 6.32 A) and 150 W adapters for this family; the supplied adapter requires an exact kit SKU match. Adapter ratings are not measured consumption.
Dimensions & weight
120 × 130 × 58 mm (W × D × H).

What owners say

Two Indonesian reviewers and two Korean owners had the PN53 with the Ryzen 7 6800H, and they agree it is capable and not quiet. One reviewer's only complaint was fan noise while gaming; an owner found it very loud at full load and faintly audible even at idle, and saw the chip boost to about 4.7 GHz and reach 95 °C before settling from 45 W to 35 W. The BIOS offers only Performance and Quiet fan modes, and turning off Q-Fan runs the fan flat out. The USB4 ports worked with a Thunderbolt 3 graphics dock and SSD in one test, although an owner found eGPU performance oddly poor. It can run from a 135 W USB-C charger, and one monitor cable can carry power and video if the monitor supplies at least 100 W; the bundled adapter varies by kit, 120 or 150 W. Reviewers disagree on how much memory the integrated graphics can reserve — up to 4 GB in one BIOS, capped at 512 MB for an early owner. Re-pasting means lifting the whole board out, and one owner of a refurbished unit ran into boot failures and a loose cable while taking it apart. The case edges are sharp. Shadow of the Tomb Raider ran at about 33 FPS on High at 1080p.

For whom
A compact, capable barebone for office work and light gaming, with USB4 for an external GPU.
Not for
Quiet rooms, and anyone who wants a detailed BIOS to tune.
