Beelink EQi12 (i3)
Beelink EQi12 (i3) pairs Intel Core i3-1220P with Intel UHD Graphics in a compact desktop with an internal power supply. Two HDMI outputs, two Ethernet connections and two replaceable SSDs make it a practical candidate for office work or a small home lab. Graphics use system memory; demanding games and GPU rendering require application-specific evidence.

What owners say
No publication reviewed this i3-1220P box, so this is built from owners on Beelink's forum, GitHub and Level1Techs — and owners mostly write when something is wrong, so read it as a list of risks rather than a verdict. Two memory revisions exist: the DDR4 version we list and a 24 GB soldered LPDDR5 one with its own BIOS family. Beelink says flashing the wrong family bricks the unit, and BIOS files are sent case by case rather than published. On the DDR4 unit, idle draw stayed just above 10 W whatever the owner tried, Windows would not drive a 1440p monitor above 1080p over HDMI although Linux did, and no USB port carries video; Beelink confirms the HDMI ports are 2.0. The same owner upgraded to 32 GB and a 2 TB SSD, but could not keep a four-bay USB enclosure connected to the front USB-C port. LPDDR5 owners report boot hangs with USB devices plugged in and a unit that would not boot until its SSD was removed. On the positive side, both M.2 slots take NVMe drives, and one owner runs OPNsense, AdGuard, UniFi and a transcoding node on it, with Quick Sync handling a couple of 4K transcodes at once.
- For whom
- A cheap Linux home-lab or firewall box for someone comfortable troubleshooting firmware and drivers.
- Not for
- Anyone who needs a 1440p display under Windows, dependable USB storage enclosures, or published BIOS updates.
