ASUS ExpertCenter PN53 (7735HS)
ASUS ExpertCenter PN53 (7735HS) pairs AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS with Radeon 680M for compact desktop workloads. This profile is a barebone kit: memory, storage and an operating system must be supplied separately. USB4 and two SSD slots make it worth considering for a multi-display workstation or a compact home lab.

- Ports & displays
- Barebone specification: 2 × USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort output; rear Type-C also supports power input. 5 × USB-A 5Gbps, 2 × HDMI 2.1 (4K/60Hz), audio jack and an optional configurable video/serial port; confirm the installed rear module by kit SKU.
- Ethernet, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- 1 × 2.5GbE RJ45. The current ASUS US kit table lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4; confirm the installed wireless module by exact kit SKU, as this CPU-level profile does not identify it. Bluetooth support also depends on the operating system and drivers.
- RAM & storage upgrades
- 2 × DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM, up to 64 GB (2 × 32 GB) under the ASUS kit specification for this processor generation. 2 × M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots, up to 2 TB each; 2.5-inch SATA bay for a 7 mm drive. RAM and storage are not included.
- Power supply & power limits
- ASUS lists 120 W (19 V, 6.32 A) and 150 W adapters for this family; the supplied adapter requires an exact kit SKU match. Adapter ratings are not measured consumption.
- Dimensions & weight
- 120 × 130 × 58 mm (W × D × H).
What owners say
Three labs had the PN53 with the Ryzen 7 7735HS, and they disagree about the fan more than anything. One found it running from first boot and never settling, a constant hiss; another recorded it stopped at idle and 34.7 dB(A) at 50 cm after half an hour of gaming, and lists low noise under load as a strength. The heat story is clearer: the chip starts at 65 W and steps down to 54 and then a sustained 35 W, peaking at 98 °C in one lab and averaging about 87; in games most of the budget goes to the Radeon 680M, leaving the cores at 1.4 to 2.3 GHz. It draws 4.7 W at idle and about 85 W while gaming. There is no fan setting in the MyASUS app, and an owner got control working with a third-party utility and an older ASUS driver. Opening it is a trap: the case splits into two halves joined by a wide ribbon cable that can tear, and the fan and 2.5-inch bay sit under the board. The metal base cools the SSDs. Complete units shipped with both memory slots filled, and an owner runs 96 GB, past ASUS's 64 GB. Wi-Fi was weaker than other machines in the same spot. On Linux the power button blinks orange forever when it boots without a keyboard or monitor, by design.
- For whom
- A compact office PC or Linux server node with a strong processor, room for two SSDs and a 2.5-inch drive.
- Not for
- Quiet rooms under sustained load, and anyone who will open it often.
