Two reviewers had this Ryzen 5 6600H box and describe different machines, largely because only one of them measured anything. Notebookcheck found a strong processor for the money that holds its clocks well — a brief 54 W peak settling at 50 W and 3.9 GHz — and a fan that makes you pay for it: 32 to 34 dB(A) at idle and 48.5 under load, with medium loads already driving it to full speed and a pulsing the lab expects home users to notice. TechRadar never mentions the noise and says the cooling keeps it cool. The front USB-C port is sold as USB4, but Windows saw only USB 3.2, with power delivery and DisplayPort still working, and the machine can run from a suitable USB-C charger. The Wi-Fi 6E card was far slower on 6 GHz than on 5 GHz in the lab's unit, which it blamed on the antenna, and 4K60 playback dropped frames with high DPC latency even after driver updates. Wall draw is about 8 W at idle and up to 85 W under full load. Behind a clip-off lid and a screwed fan cover sit two DDR5 slots and two M.2 slots, though only one heat spreader ships. The case is all plastic.
