Two owners bought this N150 box with their own money, and one of them took it apart and measured it with a proper power analyser. It is a 24/7 low-power machine more than a desktop: 7.8 W at idle without a monitor, 26 to 28 W under Prime95, and 0.4 W even when shut down. After a full day of Prime95 the chip had reached 97 °C without crashing, so the cooling has little headroom, yet the blower was not particularly audible. The warning that matters is about power. The bundled USB-C adapter is not USB-PD compliant — it puts a fixed 12 V on a USB-C plug, which could destroy a phone or laptop plugged into it — while the machine itself negotiates PD and prefers 15 V, and an undersized third-party charger sent it into a reboot loop; use at least 45 W. The 12 GB of memory is soldered and there is a single M.2 2242 slot, filled with a DRAM-less SATA drive from an unknown brand, so a 2280 SSD will not fit. Networking is all Realtek, including the two gigabit ports, and stayed rock-solid for days. The BIOS calls the model "Default string". Linux Mint's stock kernel had no sound; kernel 6.11 or Ubuntu 24.04.2 fixed it.

Not for

Daily desktop use beyond very light work, and anyone who wants to add memory or a second drive. Never use its power adapter to charge anything else.
