One lab reviewed this i5-13500H box in depth, in the 32 GB / 1 TB configuration we list, and Beelink's forum adds a recurring owner problem. The lab found a solid mid-range machine with deliberate cost cuts: gigabit rather than 2.5GbE, no USB4 or Thunderbolt, no video over USB-C, only two displays over HDMI 2.0, and DDR4. Beelink holds the 45 W chip to 35 W, so it stays fairly quiet — about 40 dBA at 5 cm when idle and up to 46 at the same distance under load, in a 38 dBA room — but it peaked at 84 to 88 °C and throttled in longer runs. Idle draw is high for the class, 11 to 12 W on Windows and about 10 W headless under Ubuntu. The second M.2 slot runs at full PCIe 4.0 speed, though reaching it means undoing about six screws and a standoff. The Intel AX200 Wi-Fi outran the wired port a metre from the router. USB is the weak spot: under Ubuntu an NVMe enclosure in a rear port knocked out the Wi-Fi, and owners report a USB-C disk enclosure disconnecting under load. The BIOS is not on Beelink's public download page; owners have to ask for it.
